Stroud half marathon 2:49.12

At 11.5 miles I was giving up the will to live!!!
Beautiful course, all roads, some main ones. Great support, excellent fun. But yikes, 13.1 miles is a long way. How am I going to do it all again at the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon????

Fab to see Nicki and Jade.

2.5 hours cycling before work

Will need to do a lot more of this over the coming months.
Met Jenny millbrook cycle path and we cycled out to the forest, pootled about abit then home. Out for about 2.5 hours. Reckon we did 20 or so miles. 

Then off to work

LRR triple :)

Took Pam to LRR so she could check it all out.

Fab S&C at Tauntons - my poor Abs done know what's hit them
Then great track session with Itchen Spitfires.
I'm feeling quite tired.
My stomach is huge.

I'm a bloody space hopper with legs and arms. Must sort my diet out. 
Have a feeling these next three months are going to be quite life changing for me... Am very excited :)

Shattered!

Managed 40mins at HB this morning but could have easily of stopped within 10mins. Luckily kelly and Yvette kept me going for another thirty mins!!!

Squash later, work at noon. Jet washing tomorrow first thing then London.

Ashtead 10k

Love this race!!
Hottest race ever - this was the 14th year.

Mark, Tracey and Roland plus Sue, Noel and their nephew Briain (sp?)

Then celebrated with Dominic's pizza  oven. 

Oh and IM Wales was on today. They started at 7am and last person I was tracking came in just over 14 hours later!!! Amazing HB / STC crew.

Cycled to A's - tea / food / catch up with XX and college

Circuits!

1st time for ages - great fun :)
Met up with Caroline and Charlotte for circuits then off to The Stags for drinks. Michelle joined us. 

I love No Limits with a passion but getting job at UoS two years ago - absolutely the best thing for me :)

New forest half 2:56.40

Awesome fun.
Cycled out - well cycled to Redbridge then cycled home to get my bike locks. All a tad stressful. Ended up being a hard bike session!!
So 8 miles then 11 = approx 19 miles before even started!!

Arrived 9:40 so very quick registration and bag drop
Found Sam for Jeffing plus Carl.

60secs run / 30secs walk.
Then by mile 7 went to 30/30
Was quite tired.
Such fun. Gorgeous route

Then chilled with the girls - Silvia, Claudia, Katie and Lucie as traffic bad and we all needed to eat - I had my packed lunch.

Cycled home.
Showered and did nothing for about six hours. So tired!!!

Friday hurtbox session then cuppa with Sue.
Was hard as it's just relentless!!

Ice skating Saturday afternoon - was very worried about hurting myself before new forest half. Was fine and after an hour I could do multiple laps without clinging onto the side!!

HB and brick run

That was tough!! After the first set you think this is fine but jeez half way through the second set you're all holy crap this is tough!!!

But we did it.
Went for a 16min run after then lidls :)
Gorgeous.

Am now in bed wondering why my right knee is throbbing...
Will see how it is tomorrow

STC club champs so loads of club mates plus took Silvia along for her 2nd ever tri and 1st ever standard distance.

Woke up so stiff/sore from jet washing 
But all sorted after the fruit bowl HB session with Sue and Donna. Great session. Tough but felt so strong at the end. Endorphins hugely kicked in. Was high as a bloody kite!!

Then lunch with Muts and Moo
Lidls and laundry.

Run with Shazza and Pam

Felt so relaxed. Chatted the whole way - ran from Shirley to common, around the common then back via Winchester road. 
Could I have done it all again?
I think I could have which is a relief seeing as I'm doing the club champs standard tri this Sunday and the NF half marathon next Sunday :)

Weights then track :)

What a fab day
Cycled to WL
Met Michelle after work in the gym to lift weights - 1st time ever!!! Loved it

15kg bar
Managed to get to 20kg weights each end = 55kg dead lifted. Made up :)

Then cycled to the track
3x 1200m with 75secs rest

= 26.54 for 3.6km 

Very happy with that

Then XX's to celebrate her GCSEs 
Cycling in a flat back tire.

The thing with HB is that you really don't think you can do it until the end and then you realise you've done it. You just have to keep on peddling 

It's about three weeks from the club champs.
Reckon to swim will take me 30mins
1k run to T1 = 10mins
33k cycle = 1:20
10k run = 1:15
Total about 3:15 :)

HB then TV

Great HB session - low cadence. Tough as tired from jet washing and the track but also good to train fatigued.
Tea with Sue and Jenny afterwards.
Then home and TV - a lot of NFL on prime :) and eating / cooking.

Bedtime now xx

Weighed myself before bed. I'm getting heavier :( 
Now 13:7 nearly 13:8.
Thank goodness I'm back training. Just need to stop eating chocolate.

Climbed Snowdon!!

14km there and back
3:06 up
Just under an hour at the summit
2:30 coming down
6:32 for the whole thing :)
Amazing 

Did it with Pam, B, Shazza, Dan, Flo and Ollie

So glad I've done it

Legs a bit throbbie
Overall though I'm okay

I do struggle with tempo sessions :)

Great HB session this morning. Tempo session. I do struggle with 8mins solid cycling which is odd seeing as I cycle all the time. I think it's the no variety head down just cycle.

Quite a bit of back peddling but I did it.

Back back on it!!

I'm now 13:7.5 :(
Think it's time to admit I've had my time off from the lakesman and I really must get back on it :)

Was at WS last Thursday then Jesus Christ superstar and Highgate Cemetery then working at the weekend.

Sat on my sofa, still in sweaty HB gear watching TdF highlights - working at 2:30pm today. 

1st Sept - NF standard tri - stc club champs.
8th Sept - NF half marathon 
15th Sept - Ashtead 10k

So I reckon 5 weeks of training,  mainly running with HB and some swimming thrown in should get me back in the game.
