50s wall chart update - seeds...

After last Sundays beautiful walk in the New Forest and the stopping for tea / scones / seeds in the Beaulieu garden centre - I have finally planted some of the seeds. Let's see what actually pops up :)

Yoga for runners :)

Tauntons this evening for LRR organised yoga for runners. Loved it. Fell asleep :) 
Knee liked it as well.
Then off to K&S's for supper and way to much wine x

Rest day = seeing chums

Fab day :)
Dropped into Timmie for a cuppa after work then Dancing Man Brewery for drinks with Vik and Alison. No gym. All about the rest and seeing chums. Knee still sore but Mabes a bit less sore...

Finding 20mins for the gym

Didn't manage the gym at work.
Checked out the new October Books - it's lovely. Not that big but very compact.
Tri club after LRR

Mouthing to Suzanne in the water that I should go to the gym - she said then go...
It's amazing how when you tell yourself something you just ignore it. When someone else says the exact same thing - of course you do it!

Of to the gym to do my x4 Physio Liam exercises :)
So easy - I really must use the Quays more!!!!

HB Social ride Sat / Eastleigh 10k Sun

Loved this weekend.
Wasn't feeling it at 7am Satursay morning but I made myself get up and was in the car park at Ealing tide mill by 8:45am
Cycled out to Ipley crossroads and practice being in a chain gang. Kinda liked it but didn't get to see much of the forest views...
Was home by 12pm.
Approx 28miles mabes 30miles of cycling.

Met Victor in Tudor house to talk 25 pockets of Southampton then Lidls.

Winchester Catherdral in the evening for Montiverdi's Vespers - Southampon Philamonic Choir.

Sunday - Eastleigh 10k with Pam 1:25 as Pam not actually very well. She was epic. Running while hardly able to breath. Makes me wonder just how quick we could go...
Liked Eastleigh a lot.
Hopefully will get medal in the post!!
Knee okay.
Sore but was able to run fine.

Tea in their garden in the sun for a good hour. Such a wonderful way to spend a sunny Sunday morning.

New forest for a walk with Rose - walked for about 75mins or so then into Bulieau for tea/scone and some garden enter meandering about.

Home, food, tv.

Loved this weekend :)

Sorting out my sore left knee

Jet washing and the gym

A very productive day.
But also a very long day!
Started with popping into HB with car passes at 7:35am and finished with getting home at 10:40pm

Jet washing at watersports. User error - hose not attached properly so drained the jet washer which then cut out. Oops. All fixed though   So able to do a good hour or so and then blitzed the changing rooms.

Love love love eating my packed lunch at watersports. Makes me so happy :)

Then shift at Jubilee. 
Physio Liam would be proud - all four exercises done before had my food.

Seen physio Liam about knee

After Tuesday's barely managing three mins of running I'm very pleased to have seen Liam this morning.

Nothing to awful.
Left knee is okay...
He reckons I've irritated the cartilage - it'll be fine but will take a little bit longer to sort it out.

I need to strengthen around the knee and have some exercises to do.
No running till Sunday and Eastleigh 10k
Then no running till A's 100th Parkrun on 30/3. 
Then no running until see Liam on 4/4 to see how it is.

Cycling fine
Swimming with front crawl kicking fine
S&C in the gym fine

Feeling very positive but also bit gutted as had next week in my head as a big running week...

It'll just be a big gym week instead xx

Less than 10mins run today :(

Left knee just sore - seeing Physio Liam Thursday 9:30am so hopefully he'll be able to figure out what I've done. As Alec pointed out Sunday it's unlikely I've broken my knee cap so fingers crossed its just bruised and is taking awhile to heal.

Smashing it at HB

Feeling so strong. 
Really wanted to stop during the session today but I didn't. Need to transfer that grit to my running now!
Cleaned the changing rooms at Watersports. Not quite as physical as jet washing but still sweated :)
Long day as then worked till 10:15pm.

3 runs, 3 cycles, 2 swims, 1 rest = a good training week. 
HB is sorting out my cycling.
Soton half marathon TP sorting out the run
I need to get in the pool twice a week even if only for 20mins. Consistency...

Back in the pool 1750m

Met Jenny in the pool after work. If I'd of been on my own I'd of bailed after the third 100. As it was, did ten.

1750m worth of swimming in about 50mins or so. My 100m time is about 2.29-2.31. I'd like to get it down to 2.05-2.10. So drills and swim fitness / time in the water.

After I was rescue boated from the standard distance tri back in July 2017 I really focused on my swimming for Weymouth 70.3 - I've got to ensure I get plenty of swimming in this time around as wel even though it's the cycling I'm hugely focused on. 

13 weeks today I'll have finished. If under 7:30 then I'm def going long next year. Eeep.

Consistency with my training. It's the only thing that's going to get me to my goal.
My mantra will be something along the lines of  'just keep training, just keep training' Think Dory in lycra, specs and a bum belt!

Running and eating

Fab run after work with Pam and Sharon. 5miles 1:02. 

Have also spent the day eating!

Usual bfast which I finished at work before 7am
Lunch - Lasagne, yoghurt cereal bars, grapes, satsuma, banana.
Run with the girls
Naked bar, a jelly baby, slice toast with butter/peanut butter
Tea @ A's - salmon, new potatoes, carrots, broccoli, two slices bread. Bit of aero chocolate.
Home - very wet
Finished Easter egg, four little slices toast and marmite.

What am I like????????

Sprint session - smashed it.

Wow.
My cycling is def getting stronger - didn't stop except a few during the recovery parts. 
Plus nine of us in the studio this morning. Am absolutely loving my Hurtboxing at the moment :)

Not worried about cycling training as HB going well.
My worries are around the swimming - must get in the pool and running - following plan but only did 15 mins yesterday so need to get back on it...

FTP now 154!

It's creeping back up :)
90min endurance session in the box this morning - full house. I need a different saddle as I did some stopping because bottom uncomfortable not because I was tired.

Loved the triathlon festival so much!

What a day.
Eight and a half hours of triathlon learning. Absolutely brilliant.
Should have packed more snacks.
Sad I didn't get to check out the market place.
Took loads of notes.
Excited to get back into my training :)

Then brew dog this eve - drinks / pizza with Pammie and the girls plus Jack, Adam and their old chum MaGoo.

Three attempts to fix puncture / change tire.
Faulty valve, then I made a hole in the next inner tube. Decided to think positively and chalk that up to 90mins of bike maintenance!!!

My arms won't work tomorrow!!

Three and a half hours using the petrol jet washer. Talk about powerful. My arms are sore and my hands - I don't have a very powerful grip. 
Loved it though.
Sadly I couldn't undo the hose at either end - bit weak :( but I reckon I can only get stronger. And oh my - Watersports so beautiful. Really enjoying each day I'm there, watching the year slowly unfurl...

Last fat club countdown weigh in. Minus 2lbs. So 24weeks = 7lbs total. 
I need to recalibrate as I have to lose two stone before lakesman half.

Great circuits session this evening then drinks in the stag pub on campus.
As I cycled home I wondered about giving up buying chocolate for lent.

A very wet and windy walk

Off to Gosport today to see my yp. So wet! But decided to cycle - got to get my training somehow...

Lovely walk - must have been at least 2/2.5hours. Finally got to see Fort Gilkickey, snacks in Pebbles Cafe, walked through Stanley Park. 
A great visit.

A bit more cycling as got off at Eastleigh so managed another 6.5miles of cycling.

Vegged.

Will sleep well tonight :)

Fabulous day - old chum from Oz

What a day :)
Up at 6:30am to be told at SW that I'd actually only put on 1.5lbs in the four weeks I hadn't been.
