I reckon my current ftp of 131 is probably a bit low. Good session. Tough but doable. Then tea/coffee at The Cove with Jenny :)

Itchen Valley Country Park - lovely

Approx 5k run in Itchen Valley Country Park this morning with Tamsyn. What a fabulous place to run! Will definitely be running again there. We talked non stop so I reckon we could have gone loads quicker. 

Twix and ribeana afterwards then back to Tamsyn's for lunch before heading off to work. 

43.49.30 min run :)

HB and brick run

Decided after the tough HB session today to do a few laps around the block - like pammie and I yesterday round her road. We did x10 500m laps with 30-60secs each lap. So laboured first couple of laps - similar to when did 5k with Suzanne and Jenny before they did Mallorca 70.3 and Suzanne was wondering if I was having an asthma attack!!

Looks like I absolutely need 10mins to warm up - needed that yesterday and def needed at Hursley RR10.

Run leading fun at the track

Love run leading :)
Track with Lordshill Road Runners group A&B
Jog/recover bends, run as hard and as far as you can for straights then slow the run to jog/recover on the bends. Three mins rest every lap. Five laps. 
The gang smashed it!!


HB to start the week

Loads of sweat, elevated heart rate, out of breath, body aches and muscles def had a work out. Excellent HB session. 

Let's see if we can sustain this good start to the week

Fab week. Pitiful OF&H though...

Last Saturday I did Parkrun. Awesome. Back on track for exercise...

Then Hawthorns, IV visit, dinner at Thrive. A lovely Saturday.

This Saturday I also did Parkrun. Fab run, chatted with Pam the whole way round then tea in the Hawthornes with the Sisters.

In between though - nothing, zip, nada. 

Didn't do hill training with Pam on Sunday - too hot so drank tea and ate a magnum.

Monday - great run leading session with LRR then STC committee mtg

Tuesday was going to go to S&C on the common with LRR. Instead went blackberring at work then tea at Jo's. 

Wednesday was going to go swimming after work but ended up going for a drink with Pam after she'd finished swimfit. 

Thursday went to Bingo with the girls

Friday was Leanne's leaving do from NLs so ended up staying five and half hours and drank quite a few white wine spritzers.

Such a lovely week.
But no exercise except cycling to and from Wide Lane each day.

This weekend - a tiny bit more. 

Parkrun Saturday then Hawthorns then Tudor House Museum cafe followed by an afternoon and evening of vegging. 

Hurtbox endurance session Sunday - then Vik's bday brunch at Meytricls Woolston then O/T at work.

I've put on four pounds - am practically 190lbs. Can't even type it in stones as it'll be so much. My "turning 50" chart is the key to my getting back into OF&H, I've just got to get on and do it!!!

My week of 9-5:15 seems to scupper OF&H. I need to explore how to rectify this!!!

And start being a lot more consistent. Well actually just start being consistent x

Southampton Parkrun - 35mins ish :)

What a lovely morning of chatting to friends / catching up with running and tri buddies, run/walking a hot 5k then drinking tea with chums and cuddling a toddler. 
A wonderful ways to spend two hours on a beautifully sunny Saturday morning. 

How did I feel?
Well my body feels no pain / hardly any fatigue from the 5k but in my mind I was hot, tired, wanting to stop. I def need to work on my endurance and sort out my moaning whinging chimp!!

Great HB session

Five of us in the studio this morning - lovely to catch up with coach Peter - hoping to do some training with him to help kick start my running endurance and consistency 

Sue Peter and I then headed to The Cove for tea/coffee.

Great morning of training.
Home to cook lunch and do laundry. Feeling healthier than I have for awhile. Hoorah.

Back in the game :)

HB session just me and Lindesy this morning and then I went for a 7min run. It would have been a longer run but I needed the loo!!

It was odd at first as my legs felt like lead. I reckon though, if I hadn't of needed the loo I could have happily of kept running for a good while longer :)

Now just chilling in my arm chair after my shower, off to work in a couple of hours x
