i've copied gary at work and have got myself an exercise journal so i can jot down what i've done at the gym, weights used etc...
todays entry reads:-
- 15 mins variety of stretches
- Treadmill - 3kms, 27mins, 190calories
- 5mins walking @ pace 5
- 8mins running @ pace 8.4
- 5mins walking @ pace 5
- 4 mins running @ pace 8.5
- 5mins walking @ pace 6
- cool down
- 10mins - stretches, abs work and the big ball
i also worked out that on the above pace, i'll do the BHM in just over 3 hours. i now feel alot more positive about my upcoming race.
with regular trips to the gym, cycling, eating well etc... i'll easily do it in two and a half hours.
that feels okay.
Liz "elite athlete" Carter enters 2012 with a smile, happy in the knowledge that the BHM is very doable.
