was at the gym this morning - i'm now in for the night so wont be doing anything more on of&h today.
will def go for a run tomorrow morning (but not too early) before heading up to the big smoke to spend the weekend with my boys.

in 31 days i'm running 10miles.

but hey, check out jeremy lion, wearing my new running bum bag - really comfy to wear, fits phone, keys, money... it's reflective (be safe be seen) and it has a built in red light.
how cool is that??
oh and today i cycled 2 miles. that's it for of&h...
i will go to the gym tomorrow and i'll also have a run before heading up to town to see the boys on saturday.

Month 5 day 28
training in winchester - walked approx 3.5miles, saw alan at winchester uni (was my youth work lecturer from soton uni) but also saw alasdair from way back in my kac days 87-90 & he's still there and now director of internationalism!
oh and then went shopping - lovely day out of the office.
evening - was always going to go for a run - ended up doing 2.5miles in less than 35mins - uphill to the top of the common and emergency babysitting. nearly killed me. then pub. very nice.
i'm now just drinking tea and have had some toast & marmite.
bath has been run, listening to mlb on radio 5 live sports extra.
oh and then went shopping - lovely day out of the office.

oh dear... forgot to post yesterday... and i went to the gym!
fyi: hangover + the gym/go for a run = fine. and i've proved this 2 days running now - sat and sunday...
today though - no alcohol although i did have a sea food pizza from my favourite pizza place:

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, very tired and mabes a tad hungover this morning...
leisurly morning then got into P.E. kit and off i went on a run.
70mins, 5miles - didnt stop!!!
at end of the run, went into the gym for water, 10mins on bile to cool down then lots of stretches.
am now eating pasta while deciding what to this afternoon.
i'm thinking of clearing my front balcony.
oh and fyi... hangover gone.

Month 5 day 22
well...
busy day at work - based at sholing again today so that's a 5 maybe 5.5mile round trip.
absolutly cream crackered - nothing on the box, had supper then ended up going to the gym for about 40 odd mins then i cycled up to the crown (2.36miles in 16mins), drank a couple of spritzers then home just before midnight. ended up being a lovely evening with quite abit of of&h and a teeny tiny bit of booze.
just drinking a cup of tea then it's bedtime.
i won't be going to the gym tomorrow morning which means i should get at least seven and a half hours sleep. wahooooooooooooooooooooo.

busy day today kids...
in to work for 8.45am - training our new students then managing the drop-in, off by 6ish.
met dan 8.15pm at the gym
yikes - we really pushed it today. upped my pace, ran for an hour - knackered - very wobbly legs. but still feeling like the gsr is very doable. which is quite a relief really seeing as i'm running it in LESS THAN 6 WEEKS!!!!

wonderful start to the day - working out in the gym!
in fact check out my gym usage for this month - pretty darn impressive even if i do say so myself.
didnt make slimmers world this eve, got sucked into a work thing instead. will go next week.
got dan tomorrow at 8.15pm
will be interesting to see on sunday just how long i can stay out running for.
oh and disaster... have managed to break my mp3 play. no idea how. bloody thing isnt recognised by my laptop any more. herumph.

yeah... nothing today
although i did cycle to sholing on my "new" bike - love the fact i've got a few more gears and a bike computer. over the itchen bridge going UP i was managing barely 6mph but flying DOWN the other side - was doing 20odd mph!
cycled 5.6miles today.
but that was it.
managed to catch up on dr.who & spooks.
off to the gym tomorrow morning then dan wed eve 8.15pm

didnt bother posting last night - nothing really to say - went to work in the morning, cooking/shopping/cleaning in the afternoon then dinner party in the eve with mabes abit too much red wine. top day but not much of&h
and to top the day off - the bike guy brought back my bike - rides like a dream. i can't wait to see how long it'll take me to cycle to sholing no limits tomorrow morning
and i'm now listening to the nfl on radio 5live sports extra and with one minute to go in the packers/panthers game - we're up 30-16. what a fab weekend.
today however i've done loads on of&h
- got over my hangover
- healthy luncheon with muts
- went to the gym
- ran 8km
- took me 70minutes
- i burnt 650odd calories
- then did lots of stretches
- signed up for my next run!
and to top the day off - the bike guy brought back my bike - rides like a dream. i can't wait to see how long it'll take me to cycle to sholing no limits tomorrow morning

nothing to report today.
didnt go to the gym 1st thing as had a 9am mtg which ended up being rescheduled.
then work till just gone 5pm
home - yikes - in desperate need of a clean... so blitzed the kitchen, hoovered and tidied. its now nearly 8.30pm - think its going to be an evening of vegging in front of the box.
work, cooking/shopping for dinner party then dinner party is on the cards for tomorrow but i will definately do my 5mile run circuit on sunday.
will let you all know how it goes!
(i may snick in a trip to the gym tomorrow - just depends how quickly i get out of work tomorrow morning...)

Month 5 day 15
Gosh... good day today.
bike guy has my bike - http://www.bikeguy.co.uk/index.htm - excited because by the end of this weekend i'll have all 24 gears again on my bike. blimey - i'm going to be getting everywhere sooooo quickly!
day 2 of a good piece of training - enharnced multi agency safeguarding and child protection then back to work for a couple of hours.
8pm - met dan at the gym.
5k in 40 odd mins then used a 10kg powerbag:-

okay, was hilarious - felt like an east german weight lifter - in fact i think dan was very impressed with my clean and jerk capabilities!
lots of sniggering to myself as i left the gym imagining myself in my boy leg swimming costume, wearing my trainers with socks pulled half way up my legs. yeah, great image.
anyways... watching torchwood, will grab a shower and then bedtime.

- one. (omg - love em. they're mars bars but with milky way chocolate. i like them best when slightly melted. i did mean to make myself a cup of tea to have with the milky way so i could dip it in the tea so making it slightly melted. however. i just inhaled it. YUM).

what a great day!
woke up at stupid o'clock even though i was desperate for a lie in after spending 10 hours at work on saturday training 36 potential new no limits vols (was great fun, got some fab new vols and loved training with jayne and holly)
so... woke at 6.15am - did mean i was able to wave off the gang (from my balcony in my pj's) heading up to london in alison's van only to then hop on their bikes and cycle back 82miles. amazing!

the gang all back, in hoglands park 6pm this evening.
totally inspired so i went for a run.
after 1.36miles i bumped into james and ally so had some squash in their flat (sweated rather alot on their chair). then i ran all the way round ocean village, over to city college, through all the parks and then ended up at the gym (desperate for water so popped in as knew there was a water fountain)
milage = 5miles!!!!!
time?
15mins to james and ally, then must have been at least an hour running outside then 10mins on the treadmill at the gym. finished with lots of stretches.
lidls then home - chicken in oven then off to hoglands park to clap home the cyclists. so impressed. EIGHTY TWO MILES!!!!
celebratory drinks in the pub then i headed home for roast chicken and an evening of mlb & nfl.

hmmmmm...
didnt make it to the gym.
packers won their 1st game - 42-34 over the saints although we didn't seal it until the final play. would have been a brilliant game to watch but i was just too tired.
have done some exercise today - cycled to the wellington arms and back to celebrate katherine's bday!
work tomorrow, must go to the gym either tomorrow eve and or sunday.

forgot to post last night...
went to the gym 1st thing then worked till 6pm.
home, had lemon quorn chunks stir fry, watched "the blind side" - great film, then bed.
i did set my alarm to listen to the packers on radion 5 live but ended up falling back to sleep while listening to it.
i've just checked the score - what a game!
we're 1-0 and i can't wait to watch the highlights.

Month 5 day 7
at the gym by 7.55am and on the bike. then me and dan went outside and ran round the parks. brilliant. was knackered but an early morning run of approx 45mins = perfect start to the day.
cycled to cantell for the lunch time health&wellbeing drop-in. it took me just over 20mins to get from city centre no limits to the school. amazing. i'm getting so fit!

slight blip just now though...
favourite crisps at the moment are the cheese and chive potato snacks from lidls. omg - they're yummy. so... i quite fancied a couple while listening to five live's nfl preview that i was listening to this evening... well. before i knew it. the packet was gone. empty. oooooops.
think i need to go back to fat club. there's a class in shirley on tuesday eve - i have a feeling that i may well be signing up!

How do they do it?? commuters?? every day up to london and back?? i caught the 8.30am to london, worked on train, did a presentation with colleagues then caught 4.35pm train back to southampton. nearly ended up in weymouth as fell asleep on train and came too thinking gosh this platform looks familiar (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, its southampton - oh crap - grab bags and coat)
absolutly shattered. in desperate need of some energy. so when i got home i changed out of my fancy pants outfit and got into my p.e. kit and i was off to the gym then lidls.

well... today was a major cycling day
city to sholing and back = 5miles
soton uni and back = 5.5miles
and both journeys took me at least 5mins less time. i'm certainly starting to notice the benefits of of&h.

gosh... today i ran with my new coach - xx - she was on her bike, i was jogging - comments such as "your face is really pink" were jolly helpful. thanks coach.
then we cycled up to the top of the common and then i cycled back (but 1st i had yummy home made apple cake and custard)
i'm now listening to MLB and eating tuna mayo sandwiches.
will do some ironing later.

Month 5 day 2
at the gym again by 8.15am cycling, running and working on my upper body. i dont intend to become a muscle mary but i'd like to still be able to do the arm running motion after 3 miles. my arms were soooo flippy floppy on wednesday after running for 45mins.
work - bonkers busy.
then out for a meal and off to the pub with mates to celebrate sharon's bday.
thornhill festival tomorrow for a couple of hours - the cycle there and back will be good excersize and then hopefully the gym either sat or sun. i intend to see if i can reach the magic hour marker...
