Couldn’t do run school
I went to Running School as I thought I'd be able to do it.
The warm up was 2 laps of the track
I went for a walk instead
The walk was brilliant- 5k round the lagoon and over to look at the waves, but it would have been nice to have done the running session
So today:
Breakfast
Not running school - 5k walk instead - bumped into Vik which was Nice
We have a lolly back at CLS
20mins on the stationary bike
Lunch
2pm - 50min wellness massage - was amazing
Finished book on the sun loungers round the leisure pools
Open water swim with Vik, A and Ali in the lagoon. Managed 18mins
Was cold but also loved it - still haven't decided if doing the open water swim session Thursday morning
Read while vik made curry

Another fabulous day
It's funny because it has been a fabulous day, loved my 5k walk but I was so sad that I just couldn't do the running school session. Was there 1minute and I'm like - nope, can't do it ☹️

CLS day 9 - more reading / less activites today
Another wonderful day but def a lot less active as I am tired. Haven't taken any pain meds but I am tired / fatigued
Mobility was good, managed half of aerobics
Cancelled swimming and read my book
Enjoyed TRX for seniors and did 10mins CrossFit - basically 6 mins on the assault bike
Smoothie with vik
More reading of book
No walk
Supper
Banangrams
Bed by 9:30pm
This is fantastic for my recovery
But still gutted it's not the holiday I hoped it would be xx

Day 8 at CLS
Loved my 43mins on the stationary bike
Felt fantastic
However, I did have a 2.5 hour sleep this afternoon
I am tired.
Such a different holiday than the one planned before my accident.

First week at Club La Santa done!!!!
Day 7
What a difference a week makes. I was so cautious and anxious about what I'd be able to do and now, one week later - I feel so much more confidence in myself
Swimming every day
On the stationary bike everyday
Aqua jogging and or aqua fit every day
Walking at least 9,000 steps a day - I have upped my goal from 7,500 to 10,000 steps a day
Also increasing my land based activities although I cancelled a body balance session this morning as we moved apartments
So feeling very positive
I am sore - small of my back and groin area but not in any pain so reckon it's just my body getting used to doing more. Will book another massage this weekend.
Physio Emily said in December my pelvis was healed, I just needed to strengthen all those muscles around the pelvis. I finally feel in the head space to do this
Not sure when my accident physio will kick in, it was approved 9th Nov but it then took 8 weeks to have my assessment so I'm not holding my breath but it would be good to get more targeted support.
But basically I'm feeling very positive as I head into week 2 at Club La Santa
Day 6 - did more land based activities today
Today - Thursday 1/2 I did mobility, 15 mins on the stationary bike, Fitball then a game of Pedal
Was so pleased as def felt able to do activities on the less forgiving ground as opposed to the very forgiving water - loved the deep water aqua and then the HIIT swim - the French instructor was in the water with x3 of us.
Showered then off for a walk.
Much downtime then Lisa and Jill over for our last supper together.
I'm tired and sore but in a good way not in a 'my pelvis hurts' way 🥰
