And she's back! With LCMS plans afoot.

Swam on Monday, Runcamp Tuesday, right calf went pop, hobbled about on Wednesday and Thursday. Operation fit  and healthy is back on track - kinda...

Birmingham this weekend so will take my PE kit but how much I do is anyone's guess. Am also taking my parkrun barcode with me just in case I'm feeling up for a 5k jaunt.

I've also been thinking about how I can knock time off my marathon time without actually doing any training.

Answer = lose some weight :)

With this in mind and the fact that today marks exactly two months to the Virgin London Marathon, I will be throughout March, losing weight via LCMS. Low Calorie March Snacking.

LCMS is very simple. I am aiming throughout the month of March to limit my snacking to under 100 calories a snack. I am cautiously optimistic of success although one does have to bare (bear?) in mind that chums did and still  do call me "tenguin" for a reason :)

Absolutely cream crackered

Hmmmmm...  I'm exhausted. I think I've over done it plus caught some bugs from dear work colleagues. Basically I did my amazing 12miles run last Sunday and have done nothing since.

Just so tired. Didn't go swimming Monday eve, runcamp Tuesday eve, didn't run Thursday or stationery bike Friday or swimming this morning. All I've done is work, sleep and then called in sick yesterday and slept some more. Siiiigh.

Mate claire who's done the London marathon a few times gave me some excellent advice. Rest, don't push it and relax about London as you'll finish it no problem. All very true. Even if I end up walk jogging the last 10miles I'll finish it. It's the twin cities one in October that I need to worry about as that one has a cut off time :)

So complete rest.
Sat in comfy chair watching nfl combine on gamepass. Will have a drink this eve and then eye test tomorrow.

All good.

What a week!!!

Monday 10.2miles 2:20
Tri club swimming 2x 500m 25min :)

Tuesday - great runcamp.

Wednesday - up to London for an amazing Italian meal at Bocca di Lupo (sp?) with Matt & Luc and their mate K. Drank and ate shed loads. Top top night (snap is me at Picadilly Circus with Eros in the background)

Thursday - totally hungover.

Friday - still pretty knackered but managed 40mins stationary bike 20.05km

Saturday - tri club swimming then cream tea (yum)

Sunday - OMG!!!!  Absolutely gorgeous weather, beautiful seafront run in Worthing with Toby. We chit chatted the entire run. 12.02 miles in 2:19.35!!!

SMASHED every run time. We got to 10miles in under 2hours, average was about 11.40mins per mile - so nearly two mins quicker per mile than usual. I'm blown away with what we accomplished.
Yes of course my legs felt hugely sore and tired and heavy by 11miles so that last mile really hurt and there was absolutely no way I could have done another 14miles which is what I'll be doing come 26/4 but hey, still got 68 days to go so plenty of time to find those additional fourteen miles :)

And today?
Yeah, knackered so blew out tri club and watched tv instead.

FYI - rest is a vital component of operation don't let the London marathon kill you. Just sayin x

Onto page three of my five page training plan :)

Walked alot today and did tomorrow's 40mins run as doing today's long run tomorrow.  I'm really looking forward to it as it'll be my first run of over ten miles since the half ironman way back in September 2014.

It'll also give me a really good idea as to where I am in my training. I know that London will mainly by photos, whooping, smiling, waving, jogging, chatting, walking, bit of running and maybe round within 5 and a half hours but I do still need to have a good level of fitness as I need to recover well and quickly! I'm doing the winchester sprint mayday tri the following Monday then three days later off on a cycling holiday with the girls S&K to holland so really need to be able to keep up with them as I don't speak a word of Dutch.

I'm thinking I may need to get a couple of phrases down pat.

"have you seen two cyclists pass by recently and if yes which way did they go?"

Or

"have you any idea where in holland we are please?"

So I really must keep going with operation marathon fit and healthy for another three sheets (this one plus two more)

Oh and I must stop buying big bars of yummy galaxy chocolate even if they are only £1.00 as I'm desperately trying to lose 20lbs and copious bars of galaxy chocolate are so not helping!!!!!!!

Epic marathon nutrition fail!

Eeeeeeeeeeep...

I just didn't feel like runcamp so instead I had take away pizza and six orange club biscuits.

I'd like to say that this is my final blow out 82 days before my first ever marathon. Obviously I'm not going to make any promises or even put money on it but fingers crossed that it is.

This is I reckon a perfectly normal response to the OMG it's less than twelve weeks till the VLM. As in "Oh crap. I need pizza and chocolate stat".

Am hoping to make it to the gym tomorrow before work.

Brilliant superbowl weekend, hardly any training though...

Worked Saturday 31/1 and then caught the 8:35am coach to Derby to watch the superbowl with Mr B and his friends.

And omg what a game. The Patriots won in the last 20seconds with a goal line interception of Russell Wilson's game winning / superbowl winning TD pass. Amazing. There was a part of me that went "ha! now you know how it feels" After the whole NFC Championship game two weeks ago.

A wonderful 24hours in Tansley, near Matlock - so beautiful. Plus check out the snow on the.ground, went for a lovely bracing walk with Mr&Mrs B Sunday afternoon when I arrived. Breathtaking. I can't wait to go back in the summer to run and go open water swimming. Pic of one of the many stunning view attached.

Home now.
Three days of no training.

Febuary must be "operation get training otherwise you'll hugely regret it and be crying at mile 18 knowing that you've still got eight miles to go but totally shattered and in pain." I so don't want that scenario to come true.

Oh and had a lovely cup of tea with bernie at Birmingham coach station and a glass of wine with the boys by Victoria coach station. What's not to love about changing buses?!
