BMI finally saying not obese or overweight

1st time this millennia
1st time in decades 


I know it's just a number but it's a number I've been checking periodically for years so it's a good metric for me around where my body is 

The monjaro injection is amazing 
But the weird thing is that now I'm 66kg I'm thinking I'm still tubby, still got too much tummy so let's see if I can get into the low 60s and then reassess 

My accident was awful but the off shoots are very promising xx

Cycled up box hill

So much fun 

Now sat at Mum's, just back from C&R's BBQ - i'm tired, groin is a bit sore and my right glute is sore but I am delighted with today

I am sore and tired but I am feeling rather epic

Felt so strong at Banstead parkrun today 
I'm now 68kg so lost at least 4kg since January which is significant in running 

I did fade in the last km but pelvis / groin area still feeling good

Groin abit sore now 
Right glute abit sore as well
But that could be muscle fatigue from the 5k this morning 🤔🥳

Day 3 in Mallorca - two rides done

It's raining so we're all chilling in the outside covered dining room waiting for the rain to stop so we can go into Pollensa.

We did 65km yesterday up the mountain - Coll de Feminia 588m of total elevation 
We did 60k today -  off to St Margalida today - 88m of total elevation - so a lot flatter!!!

Recovery is good
Need to do more stretching but groin is just a tiny bit sore, flutes tiny bit sore, quads very sore 🤣

Pulling an all nighter at Gatwick

Having so much time is great for doing an MOT on yourself 

My right inside elbow - so sore
Have I pulled tendon? Ligament? 

Driving mums car - glutes still sore after an hour or so
Sitting at work - I am doing quite a lot of standing as it's uncomfortable sitting for long periods. I'm trying to remember if this was the case pre accident. It may have been but I am very conscious of it now

I am feeling stronger 
So excited for my 5 day Mallorca holiday with Suzanne, Richard, Sue & Noel with an hour crossover we think with Charlotte and Tobie Friday early afternoon when they arrive and I leave to catch my flight 

The monjarou injection is going well.
I'm more active and losing weight
68kg now!
My case for Mallorca is 13kg
I have been 81 / 82kg
I have lost my suitcase in the weight 
And my suitcase is bloody heavy to lug about 🤣


Getting tired now
I should have packed a little freshen up bag 
All good learning 

Think it's time to go for a walk (3:05am)

Bit tired now!!

I guess this is when one says…

And so it begins 
14 months of being a bit tired 😂

Was supposed to go on a 3.5hour bike ride but tired and doing mum stuff so ended up falling asleep on the sofa while the IPL was on. 
Aaah well.

Mallorca next week for 5 days
Cycling up box hill when I get back 
I'm excited as I know I'll just get stronger and stronger.

Plus charity shop shopping - size 14 or 34inch waist. So feeling pretty chuffed.

Training plans & shift working

So this is my new coach Emma O'Toole

And we've just started working together
It's brilliant - i get an email to say what i'm doing over the next couple of days with some notes from Emma and then my garmin & training peaks has the workout 

Smashed it Monday - i was at mum's, the training plan said 60mins recovery ride (i'd done the fast twitch sprint triathlon on Sunday) so i went out on Deb's bike and did a 52min loop through Epsom and the Downs popping out at the top of Ashtead
I havn't managed anything else since.
Sue & I cycled 58km on Wednesday but i didnt manage anything from the actual plan

  • Thursday i thought i'd leave home early and go to the Jubilee gym before work - decided 6am was too early to get up 
  • Friday i thought i'd go to the Mayflower gym after work as was at SJM in Southampton City Centre - was too tired after work 
  • Saturday i thought i'd go for a run after work, loving the light evenings, decided i could do laps of Queens Park - was too hungry so had supper and then didn't go back out
  • Sunday - today - the training plan was cycling, 60mins with 30sec blasts of increased cadance. During my cycle to work this morning i did little blasts of increased cadance. Thighs were burning and i arrived at least 1min sooner that usual! I havn't saved the workout so will restart it after work when cycling to the train station to go up to Ashtead. Lets see if that will turn my training plan green 🤞

I do think it will take a few rotations to figure out how to fit in my training while working, when at mum's up in Ashtead and when back in Southampton
However, i am certain that we will figure it out 😁

Asked solicitor to settle

This feels like a momentous moment 
I emailed Liz my solicitor to say let's settle my claim

I've now done :
The Ashtead, Winchester and Eastleigh 10k
The Southampton half 
The Fast Twitch sprint triathlon

I have left : 
The Exbury 10k
The Swashbuckler standard
The NF Standard 

And anything else that looks fun

I've asked Emma O'Toole to be my coach
I'm seeing Lizzy every 4-6 weeks for a massage 

I've now done x2 big bike rides in a week - 64km & 58km
I've done some tri club swim sessions and I've done a couple of tri club run sessions. 

I'm feeling so good!
Strong, excited, confident.

I am super excited but I'm also very aware that I need to get a routine going with my training. I've barely done anything this week. Was going to go before work on Thursday and then after work today. Did neither. Figuring out how to be consistent with my training will be vital to get me to the start line of the outlaw. 

I've got just under 14months 🥰
