So this is my new coach Emma O'Toole
And we've just started working together
It's brilliant - i get an email to say what i'm doing over the next couple of days with some notes from Emma and then my garmin & training peaks has the workout
Smashed it Monday - i was at mum's, the training plan said 60mins recovery ride (i'd done the fast twitch sprint triathlon on Sunday) so i went out on Deb's bike and did a 52min loop through Epsom and the Downs popping out at the top of Ashtead
I havn't managed anything else since.
Sue & I cycled 58km on Wednesday but i didnt manage anything from the actual plan
- Thursday i thought i'd leave home early and go to the Jubilee gym before work - decided 6am was too early to get up
- Friday i thought i'd go to the Mayflower gym after work as was at SJM in Southampton City Centre - was too tired after work
- Saturday i thought i'd go for a run after work, loving the light evenings, decided i could do laps of Queens Park - was too hungry so had supper and then didn't go back out
- Sunday - today - the training plan was cycling, 60mins with 30sec blasts of increased cadance. During my cycle to work this morning i did little blasts of increased cadance. Thighs were burning and i arrived at least 1min sooner that usual! I havn't saved the workout so will restart it after work when cycling to the train station to go up to Ashtead. Lets see if that will turn my training plan green 🤞
I do think it will take a few rotations to figure out how to fit in my training while working, when at mum's up in Ashtead and when back in Southampton
However, i am certain that we will figure it out 😁
