Physical setback / emotional move forward

Saturday I managed to wipe out at Banstead parkrun. Right toe caught on uneven surface as finishing 1st lap. One minute feeling amazing, so strong - 6min kms for goodness sake!!

Next minute on the floor
Checked specs okay - not broken
Then checked pelvis - rock solid, no pain
Then checked the rest of me - scuffed left knuckles, left elbow sore, left ribs so painful, left knee bruised and scuffed

So sad 😟
Walked abit, jogged in with Ingie, Tracey, Milo dog and their Banstead parkrun friend Julia
Am writing this on Wednesday and my ribs / muscles are so sore. My ribs must have landed on some uneven ground - similar to when I fell on my back from accident July 23 when back was sore so A&E dr ordered CT scan incase any internal organs damaged. I reckon just bruised but broken / bruised ribs - same treatment. Pain meds, rest and time.

Had to walk for #SyRun365.

So that's my physical setback

My emotional move forward?
Monday morning before Hannah Gadsby that evening in London - saw solicitor appointed psychologist to see if I need any further driver insurance mental health interventions. I don't. She reckons managing very well. Another course of counselling via work might be useful but I'm okay. In fact once this is all settled I'll probably be able to move on very quickly. Something has shifted. Well let's just say after 15 months I've finally done some of the STC Merit table 🤣

And that dear readers is HUGE

So def feeling a lot more positive about my accident and thinking I'll look to explore what my settlement could look like once I get back from CLS. I reckon it should all be done within the next 4 months xx
