Fast twitch sprint triathlon

OMG
It was glorious 
Plus I was 6mins faster than last year 
I had absolutely no urgency. 
Loved it

Swim felt so smooth, I could have kept that pace up for hours 
I felt so strong on the bike and was on the tri bars loads
The run was just fun. I did 9mins run / 1 min walk. I felt so fresh at the end of the race. 
Sooooo happy 🤗

Then recovered at the allotment
Then last STC AGM as membership sec (these last 11 years as STC’s membership sec have been  a joy and a privilege)

Plus Andy had a huge tub of high5 carb drink powder - I grabbed it as that’s what’ll be at the Outlaw.

All in all, a top top day x

99 days to go - sprint tri tomorrow morning

Rest day today
My sleep isn’t great - I’m wondering if I was over stimulated from the 95k bike ride then seeing Louise and Linda in Winchester last night? 

Anyways, rest day today - nice and chilled 
Bonus big sis Debs Hub visit which was fabulous 

Then supper at the Ali’s

Home to prep for tomorrow

100 days to go!!!

Today has been rather awesome
Needless to say if I didn’t have Suzanne I’d of bailed way before 95km

Kelly joined us for the Lepe loop as she’s doing 90k ride at the end of May
Love her action shots of us cycling 

Suzanne dragged me along 
I used the tri bars loads 
Was easily doing 25-33km per hour which I’ll need to be doing by the Outlaw so I make the swim/bike cutoff of 10hours with time to spare.
Ate well and my tummy is def getting used to digesting more on the go. I do though need to make my trail mix into flapjack for easier eating. 

I am tired
I will sleep well tonight
I had a lovely evening in Winchester eating chicken chow mein with Louise & Linda

No swimming costume at mums!!!

Blast
I could have sworn I had a swimming costume at mums. This morning as I was packing my bag for swimming - no costume 😕

So cancelled my swim and went back to bed for an hour then S&C while chatting to Sue & Jenny.

However, once I get a cossie sorted at mums - early morning swimming at the leisure centre will be so easy.

Cycled to Letterhead Leisure Centre - bike session to get there then a gym class 

I’m really enjoying feeling myself getting stronger 
Swim & Bike have to be the focus 
If I make the cutoffs I’ll be fine with the Run.

54min bike ride before work 
This was the bike 4-6mons then 30sec of hard effort x10. It’s a good one.
I feel like I’m doing HB outside 🥳💪

Left work early for a takeaway and the Amy & Andy’s wedding pics. Great fun.

I’m feeling very chuffed
I got the train to Boxhill and Westhumble and ran through Norbury park to Leatherhead train station then train back to mums

Approx 9km in 1:25
Was quite hilly at the start #SurreyHills 🤣

I need to do this more often so I make sure I don’t bail on the long run x

111 days, 15 weeks - 1st proper long ride

I feel as if Lizzie goes long has properly started.

75k / 3:15 in the new Forest with Suzanne then 2k/15mins brick run straight after 

Both felt good
Although I was thinking at 40k yee gods how am I going to keep going for another 140k at the end of July.
And after the 2k brick run off the bike there was a part of me that thought crikey, only another 40k of running to go and then I’ll be done 🤣

However…
I’ve still got 111 days until I’m racing.
That’s loads of time - 15 weeks
I’ll be fine!!!!

I was hungry when I finished work so made supper instead of running as soon as I got home from work.

Long cycle with Suzanne tomorrow morning with the long run in the diary for Wednesday. 
Just got to make sure I do them.

114 days to go - feeling strong

Fabulous!
Did some stretches in the morning - hub was empty
Then swam at lunchtime - just 550m but good to be in the water. Didn't swim at Oaklands this morning so very pleased to get into the pool even if only for 15mins
Then cycled the long way home. 

Have signed up for the Gridiron in October and a 200k bike ride through the forest in August. Oh and joined the National Trust & English Heritage. 
It was a slow day at work 🤣

I'm def feeling strong xx

First day of my next 4 days at work
Day one of the Easter closure period at work
It was a very chilled day.

My new shift rota will be :
Monday to Friday
8am - 4pm
Hopefully I'll be able to regularly do 12-8pm Wednesdays so Elizabeth is still able to do her regular Wednesday evening with mates and I get a morning for swimming / HB xx

116 days to go - managed a long(ish) bike ride

My training peaks is yellow - 74% completion rate. I was doing mental arithmetics trying to figure out if I was at 80% so I'd be Green 🤣 (great top tip Suzanne)

Easter Monday 6/4 I'm going out with Suzanne and hopefully Jenny. I'm hoping to get out for 3.5 hours. It'll be great to see where I am with my bike fitness. Plus I don't think I'd manage 3.5 hours  on my own yet 🤔
