Feeling good :)

Dawn's right about me - it pretty much is all metal. Yes I need to have a level of fitness but I also need to not listen to the voice that says it's too hard, I'm tired, just stop now. That voice talks lies :)

Great HB session. 84 or 85%, only stopped / back peddaled during recovery time. Two more weeks at 144 then the Monday after my 50th I'll up it to 149 and see how that goes. I think I'll just keep doing that every three weeks instead of leaping straight into another FTP test just Incase it goes up by a lot!!

Oh and the session was 95 - 115 ish not anything much higher.

Cove for a cuppa and a butty.
Tidying, sorting.
Party stuff.

Did my 50s exercises.
Two weeks today I'm 50.
I've blinked and suddenly I'm turning 50. I'm sure my blog posts over the next few weeks are going to contain quite a bit of naval gazing 😉

Pilates and more running

I have achieved today and it's not even 2pm :)

Sorted out some of the rubbish downstairs.
Cleaned my bike
Took it to cycle republic as flat front tyre.

Pilates 45mins - yikes my tummy really knows it's had a work out!
Then another treadmill run...

2.5k, 24mins - ankle feels okay.

I'm feeling excellent.

Ftp now 144 and it's fine

Great session this morning in the box. Did right through till the cool down then headed home as working at noon.

Hardly stopped at all.
It really is a mental game. Lindsey - 'they're not recovery they're just little dips' for the 30secs at 80% after every 75sec block at 92-94%. That worked for me. No proper rest for about 14mins.

The more I think of the lakesman it is the cycle I need to get a lot quicker at. 4:23 for 90km is just not quick enough!

Will also need to think about my swimming...
I'm feeling very excited about my upcoming season x

Will clean my bike tomorrow as I could feel it grinding

Day 8 :)

50 wall press-ups, 50 seconds wall sit, 50 calf raises.

Nearly forgot this eve but then looked at wall chart and thought I cant not do it. It's only been eight days. How on earth will I find the will power from Feb to train every day for the lakesman half if I can't even make it to day 8 of this little challenge.
Needless to say I've done my day 8 exercises!

HB tomorrow.
Will take trainers again to work, hopefully will treadmill run/walk another 15mins

I've got 18 days to find a run/walk Parkrun...

A gentle Sunday

Decided to take today quietly.
No cycling out to badgers farm for the cc6 or going to to st James park for the clothes swop. Instead I had a lie in, watch some tv, had lunch then hair cut, lidls and some gardening - retrieved the window box from the shop belows flat roof.

Not much else really.
Big roast dinner, more sorting out the not quite so big pile of magazines, bit of reading then bed.

Three weeks to my party.
24 weeks to the Lakesman half.
7 weeks to Winchester 10k

Fingers crossed that's it for not feeling very well in 2019.

Sorting out all my run/tri/bike magazines

I've got a huge pile of magazines that I've kept because there are lots of useful articles in them. However they are taking up way to much space... So instead  of either tearing out the articles I want to keep or just chucking them all in the recycling I'm tearing out the pages I don't want to keep.

Pile is going down loads but I've still got plenty of mini magazines with loads of useful info in them. Am feeling very smug. But also bit tired now so will finish the rest tomorrow.

Sorting, clearing, organising. That's going to be my flat mantra for 2019 :)
