RED/SED Day4 - walk work run ✅

After yesterday's near miss on RED January - having to nip out at 6pm to run 2k, I had a plan for today.

A brisk walk before work to drop off my saliva test at Mayflower Halls of residence - 38mins

Work.
Certainly did stuff today / achieved,  but still so boring compared to actually being behind reception at the Jubilee Sports Centre.

Then my plan...
I already knew what I was going to do. James Saunders LRR half marathon training plan day 1 - hills. I was going to jog to the Itchen Bridge, run up it (4 lampposts worth) then walk down it 7 maybe 8 times.

Did 7 in the end - or it might have been 8 but don't think it was only 6. Honestly, running up/ walking down a bridge is actually really hard to count!!! Like when swimming and wondering if you've done 8 lengths or 10 lengths 🤔

Then jogged home
5k 46mins

Yep, feeling great 👍

Day 3 of house arrest

Best colleagues ever!!
Secret Santa gift, cupcakes and gin hand delivered 🤗

Back working from home

It's okay - I've set my phone HIIT app so I get up and move about every 15mins

Also it's about 15m or so one lap of my flat - back door to front door and back.

1km is about 70 laps
1mile is about 110 laps

It's a way to keep my step count up 💪

Why I’m under house arrest

Orders from track and trace. I'm fine but someone in my bubble tested positive :(

Day 2 of house arrest 16/12

Awesome Hurtbox sprint session and I made breakfast muffins

New goals for 2021

Right, time to set myself a few goals for 2021

And, unlike the last time - see huge sheet of paper with my 'i am going to do 50…' 'i am going to lose 50…' etc… these ones are maybe a tad more manageable.
Although i have finally lost those elusive 20lbs that i first hoped to lose back in 2015. (As we all know if you lose 20lbs you go 20mins faster over a marathon with no extra training!)

Anyways…

1. The old favourite of going sub 7:30 in a half ironman - doing the Swashbuckler in July 2021 (deferred from May 2020). If i can go under seven and a half hours then Lizzie Lou is going long in 2022
2. Touch my toes by 25th March 2021. Currently i can touch my shins
3. Learn to play the piano. Currently i have a lot of fun making a noise on my Yamaha keyboard but nothing anyone can either recognise or would want to listen to.
4. Lose another 10kg - I have maintained since July 2020 but have not got any smaller. Would love to be a size 12 or even a size 10…

So, all very doable xx
